The origin of the name Courageous Authenticity came out of an understand that so often people are torn between a false choice.
For instance, you are on your way to a meeting. You have a choice about who you will be in that forthcoming situation: either you will be a chameleon, acting as your best self in just that one scenario, or you could just be who you are, be authentic and know that people will accept and embrace you. The idea of the best self is somehow different from the true self.
Courageous Authenticity brings those two things together and recognizes that we are all our best when we are our true selves. That doesn’t mean there won’t be times when you communicate slightly differently for a particular audience. However, when you have compartmentalized your life so that your work and home people are different, you are diminishing yourself. You’re creating characters as if you’re a director in a movie. Think about who you are going to be.
So how do we let the creative force flow through us?
How do you set yourself up so that you allow yourself to be tacked into that creative force, so that you are totally present and flow out into the universe so that you’re truly engaging?
A courageously authentic self is having the full power to attract into our lives the things that we want. it’s not just about being intuitive; it’s about being influential. Influence comes from awareness, motivation, and ability. To become aware of who we are and our choices, we must:
- Really do some introspection; consider that when you’re being truly authentic, what’s true about you?
- Think about why, the motivation; consider why being that way is really in your best interest.
- Reflect on skills you need to build in order to stay present in the moment. Sometimes, when fear shows up and you become ego-absorbed, you let go of your true self. Try to adapt and adopt your environment and let yourself shine through.
- Understand your MVP: your mission, values, and principles.
When you think you have more powerful energy, you’re much more attractive. Think about yourself as a tiny magnet, drawing things toward you. A tiny magnet will attract small amounts of individuals or influence in its direction. A large magnet, on the other hand, draws in everything around it, making a stronger connection.
